Each post captures a saying commonly heard by women growing up in Desi (brown) society. To bring this project to life, I treated it like a social experiment, connecting with brown girls on Instagram to share their experiences. By using their stories and involving them in the creative process, I ensured each illustration reflected their voices and became something they could take pride in. This approach not only made the work more authentic but also helped avoid personal biases, keeping it relatable and impactful.
