We were tasked with creating a print campaign for EEG’s semi-annual Can Collection Drive, aimed at reducing landfill waste in Dubai by collecting aluminum cans. Traditionally focused on schools, EEG sought to expand its reach to the general public and businesses in hospitality, construction, retail, and food service. Our work would be entered into the prestigious Dubai Lynx competition, where I’m proud to say my campaign was shortlisted—a major milestone in my creative journey. For my concept, I emphasized the tangible impact of EEG’s efforts by visualizing their achievements. For example, during their last drive, enough cans were recycled to equal the height of 62 Burj Khalifas. By turning this abstract number into a striking visual, I made the results more relatable and engaging. To further motivate businesses, I introduced a competitive element. I designed a “thank you” poster celebrating past contributors, highlighting their efforts while inspiring others to match or surpass them. This approach not only recognized previous successes but also encouraged wider participation, aligning with EEG’s mission. Being shortlisted for Dubai Lynx validated this effort and remains a highlight of my work.
